Run stores for other people

One console across every store you build for a client, who pays for which, and how to get into one.

If you build sites for other businesses, each of those is its own store with its own account. Agency is the one place that sees all of them: Clients is who they are, Stores is what each one sold, Activity is what happened across the lot, and Agency, Billing is what we charge you for the ones on your card.

Where it appears

Agency is in the rail for everybody, and until this account runs a store for somebody else it is one page that says how an agency starts. The tabs arrive with the first client.

What Stores tells you

Every store you run for someone else, and what each one did. Worst first, then by what they sold: the store that needs you is at the top, not the store you built most recently. Clients is the same people as relationships: who to reach, since when, whether they are paying, and a client who has paid and has no store yet is there and nowhere else.

Opening one

Press it and its page opens; Open switches the console to that store. Everything you do from then on is theirs: their website, their offers, their orders.

The store card at the top of the rail is always the one you are looking at. If you are ever unsure which store a change is going into, that is where to check.

On your bill, or on theirs

A store can be paid for by you or by the client. On your bill marks the ones you are paying for, and Agency, Billing is what we charge you for them, separately from your own plan.

A store you pay for but are not a member of cannot be opened from here. That is the correct behavior: paying for somebody's software is not the same as having a key to it. Ask them to invite you under Settings, Team.

Only the owner of your account can put a store on your bill, because it is the owner's card. An admin sees which stores are paid for and which are not, and the page says who can change it.

Selling a site outright

If you sold somebody a website, their receipt carries the claim. Their account and store are made in your name, on the look they bought, and you land on its website. Invite them whenever you like, and the monthly fee starts on you.

Setting one up for them

Set it up for them makes a separate account and store for your client, in your name, with your team on it. It then offers to put it on your bill. Nothing is charged until that step, and only the owner can take it.
