Your name, your sign-in, and what we email you

The two names on your account, changing your address or password, and turning our emails down.

About 3 minutesRead as Markdown

Open Settings, Account. It is you: your names and how you sign in. The mail we send you is beside it, on Settings, Notifications.

Two names, and they are not the same one

People get these the wrong way round and then wonder why a receipt is signed with their first name. Only an owner or an admin can rename the business.

Settings, Account, with both names and the sign-in section

Changing your email

Type the new address and we send a link to it. The change takes effect when you open that link, and not before.

That order is deliberate. An address nobody has proved is an address that locks you out of your own account, and this is the one that signs you in.

Changing your password

New password, then type it again. You stay signed in on this device.

What we email you

On Settings, Notifications, everything is on unless you turn it off. Turn off the ones you do not want, one at a time.

We never email your buyers on your behalf except their receipt. The receipt is not optional, because somebody who paid you has to be able to find what they bought. We do not send marketing email for you. When we do, it will go out through your own Mailchimp or Gmail account rather than ours, so your list and your sending reputation stay yours. Until then, write to your customers from your own email or your own mailing tool.
