# The assistant that answers your customers
A chat on your store that answers from your own words, and hands you anything it cannot.

**About 4 minutes.**

Somebody wants to know whether you do same-day. It is ten at night. They are not going to wait until morning to find out.

## What it is

A chat widget on your store. It answers from **your** store: your offers, your prices, your hours, and the answers you have written for it. Not from what a model happens to know about businesses like yours.

## What it knows

Open **Website, Website chat**. **What it knows** is where you write the things people keep asking. Parking. Whether you take card. What happens if they are late.

Write them the way you would say them. That is what a customer gets back.

> **On screen:** Website, Website chat, with two answers written and one person waiting

## How it speaks

Set the tone under **How it speaks** on the same page, and **How it looks to a customer** shows the widget as they see it. It is your shop, so it should sound like somebody who works there.

## What it will not do

It does not invent. Asked something it has no answer for, it says so and offers to take a message, and that message arrives in [Messages](/help/merchant/read-your-messages) like any other.

That is the whole design: a confident wrong answer about your prices costs you a customer and an argument, so it would rather hand the question to you.

## When somebody is waiting

**Waiting on you** is the list, and the same people are on **Customers, Follow-up**. Those are questions it could not answer, with the conversation attached so you can see what they already asked.
