# Sell your first product
Add a file people download or an item they buy, and it is on your store the moment you save. Offers do not wait for a publish.

One offer opens the store. It can be a guide you wrote, a kit, or a gift card, and adding it takes about five minutes.

## 1. Open Sell, Offers and fill in three boxes

**Name**, **Price**, and **Type**. That is the whole form.

## 2. Attach what the buyer gets

For **A file**, upload it. The buyer gets a link that expires, so the file is not passed around.

For **A service**, say **How long it takes**. A service with no length cannot be booked: the checkout refuses it, so the offer would look fine on your store and do nothing when somebody pressed Book.

For **A course**, press **Build a course** and add lessons. A course with no lessons cannot be delivered.

## 3. It is already live

Offers do not wait for a publish. The moment it is added and published, it is on your store.

> This is the opposite of the link page, which waits for you to press Publish. If you have just pressed Publish and an offer still is not showing, publishing was never the thing holding it back. Read on.

## When something you added is not on your store

Four things decide it, and Sell, Offers says which one is in the way:

- **Turned off.** The offer is off entirely.
- **Not published yet.** Press **Publish** on the row.
- **Hidden from the shop.** It still sells by direct link.
- **Your page is not set up to list it.** A page set to sell products lists nothing that is a service, and one set to take bookings lists nothing that is not.

That last one catches people out, because everything about the offer looks right. If it applies, Sell, Offers puts a button above the list that fixes it in one press.

## What you cannot sell here yet

Anything that goes in the post. Every offer is a download, a service, a course or a website claim, so a parcel is not something this can represent. If you sell things that ship, tell us; it is on the list.
