# What "Request this" means
If your store cannot take payments yet, buyers see Request this instead of Buy. Here is what it does.

## Step 1

No payments linked yet? Then a buyer sees Request this, not Buy.

They leave their name and email. No money moves. Press Customers to see it.

Press Messages.

Here it is: Jordan wants the fade guide. Write back to them.

Then link Stripe or Square in Money. The Buy button comes back by itself.
