# Earn against your bill by referring people
Your own link, what it pays, and when the credit is yours to spend.

If you send somebody here and they pay, you earn. It comes off your own bill.

> This is you referring people to sitelaunch. Your own customers referring your business to their friends is a different thing, and it lives in **Growth, Referrals**.

## Your link

Open **Settings, Referrals**. Pick the word that goes on the end of your link. You can change it later.

The page tells you whether the word is free before you take it.

## What it pays

The rate goes up with the number of people paying, and it applies to **all** of them, not only the ones above the line. The page shows the ladder with your own row marked, and what each referral is worth per month at your rate.

You earn every month they keep paying, not once at the sale.

## Available and pending

Commission waits **sixty days** before you can use it. That is so a refund does not have to be chased back out of credit you already spent.

- **Pending** is earned and still inside the sixty days.
- **Available** is yours, and comes off your next bill automatically.

## If somebody stops paying

You stop earning on them, and your rate is worked out from whoever is still paying. Nothing already banked is taken back.

## It is credit, not cash

Commission is paid as credit against your own bill. It is not paid out to a bank account.
